Adult Council
Meets the second Tuesday of every month at 7:00 pm (Ministry Team
Night).
Supports Adult Sunday School, PACE (Progressive Adult
Christian Education), SPACE (Senior Pastor Adult Christian Education),
Dinner for Nine, fellowship and other ministries for adults.
Everyone is welcome to attend and participate in the council meetings.
Children's Council
Representatives meet once a month on the second Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.
Supports Nursery,
Toddler, Sunday School (twos through 6th grade), Vacation Bible
School, Mini-Methodists (5/6 graders - M & Ms), Annual Family Fellowship Events
(Advent Workshop and Lent Event) and Children’s Choir.
Church Growth
Meets second Tuesday of
every month at 6:30 pm.
Welcomes and supports newcomers, responsible for newcomer
orientation classes held throughout the year
Congregational Care
Meets second Tuesday of
every month at 6:30 pm.
Provides supportive care to congregation, contacts college
students, responsible for church photo directory
Hospitality
Meets every other
month in the afternoon when convenient for the committee members and staff
liaison.
Responsibilities include
helping St. John UMC fulfill its mission to be a warm, welcoming church through
hospitality from the parking lot to the coffee pot. Committee recruits members
to serve as greeters for the Sunday services, recruits members to staff the
welcoming center prior to the
9:30
and
11:00 a.m.
services, provides coffee and juice for the fellowship times on Sunday
mornings, and provides parking lot assistants as needed.

Helps to meet the needs of our community and the world through fundraisers

Stephen Ministry
Stephen Ministers are laypersons trained to listen, care,
encourage, pray and walk alongside of you during difficult times. It is
confidential, free and very helpful. If you feel a need for a Stephen

Worship
Meets second Tuesday of
every month at 6:30 pm
Supports worship with music programs, seasonal decorations,
communion preparations, scheduling ushers
